On Friday, 29 May, Rygaards’ very first Market Day took place – and what a success!
The school’s beautiful green park was opened to families and friends, who could explore the many stalls and experience the creative initiatives and ideas developed by our students and teachers.
Visitors could, among other things, find stalls selling jewellery, string art, paintings, and kitchen utensils – all handmade by the students. In fact, the kitchen utensils were crafted from recycled wood from a Fastelavn barrel used earlier in the school year.
In addition, guests could visit a magical bookshop, play bingo, explore a flea market, or try their luck at the spinning wheel.
Most importantly, students raised funds for the school’s charity project, as all goods and activities at the market were up for sale. All proceeds from the sales will go to support our sister school, St. Joseph in Biên Hòa, Vietnam.
We are therefore very pleased to share that a significant amount was raised.
We would like to thank families and friends for their great support – it was a true pleasure to see so many of you.
We would also like to extend a special thank you to our students and staff for their tremendous effort – this would not have been possible without you.
