Earth Week on Rygaards School

At Rygaards School, our green values mean a lot – and we celebrate this during Earth Week, where both the Danish and International departments focus on sustainability, creativity, and responsibility through a series of engaging activities.

One of the highlights of Earth Week is the traditional Hat Parade, where students craft imaginative hats from recycled and natural materials.

This year, the school selected six extraordinary hats, and the six students who made them were awarded a small green plant – a symbol of the school’s commitment to sustainability.

Earth Week is about so much more than creative hats. It’s about instilling important values such as responsibility, respect for nature, and community in our students. We are proud to be a school where sustainability is not just something we talk about – we demonstrate it through our actions.

Thank you to all the students and teachers for an inspiring Hat Parade. And congratulations to Fria from 1A, Mathias and Anika from 3B, Damian and Zohar from 3X, and Maila from 4Y on receiving the lovely little plants. Take good care of them ♻️🌎
