Our Mathematics department has been exceptionally busy this term, and we are proud to announce that Rygaards students have excelled in two prestigious competitions. Furthermore, two students in particular have distinguished themselves by achieving the highest score in the world! 🌟
- Georg Mohr Mathematics Competition: Year 11 students Tanvi Gunda and Maria Maneva represented Rygaards in this highly competitive event. Both students have been invited to the winners’ seminar, which will be held from February 23-26 at the Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Videncenter in Sorø. Out of 15.000-20.000 participants, only 78 students advanced to the second round. Congratulations, Tanvi and Maria! 👏
- International Maths Challenge: We are thrilled to share that Rygaards students performed impressively in the International Maths Challenge. Among the highest scorers were Quian Zhang (Year 9X), Anish Krishnakumar (Year 9X), Kasturi Rajurkar (Year 9Y), and Aatish Joshi (Year 10Y). Their impressive performances in the competition have placed them among the top participants. Congratulations! 🎉
- 2 x Highest Score in the World: Cambridge Examinations Centre has recently informed us that two Rygaards students have performed exceptionally well in two areas. Roberta Romano (Year 11X) has been recognised as the candidate with the highest score in the world for Italian as a foreign language, while Saule Bieliauskaite (Year 11Y) has been recognised as the candidate with the highest mathematics score in the world! 🌍🎓
