UN-Day at Rygaards School

On Friday 24 October, we celebrated UN-Day at Rygaards School. It was a joyful and colourful occasion, where students and staff from all year groups came together to celebrate diversity and community.

With the help of our wonderful parents, a delicious buffet was served, offering a wide array of international dishes in celebration of the day.

Several of our students arrived in their beautiful national costumes, which is always a great pleasure and provides a wonderful opportunity for interesting conversations about different cultures.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to all the families who contributed food for the UN-Day. The children enjoyed a true feast, sampling dishes from all around the world, and the remaining food was donated to the Mother Teresa Soup Kitchen for the homeless in Copenhagen.

A big thank you must also go to all the volunteers who helped with the decorations, the lunch, and later with the tidying up.
